Role Summary This role involves Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable virtualized, Linux, and AWS environments. The role includes automation with IaC, CI/CD, and containerization, monitoring and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK, and ensuring security and compliance across ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR. The engineer will also integrate professional media devices, manage networking performance, and optimize cloud and system operations for reliability and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Virtualization & Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and maintain virtualized environments using VMware or equivalent hypervisors; manage lifecycle, performance tuning, and security patching. Linux Systems: Architect and optimize Linux environments (physical, virtual, cloud); troubleshoot boot processes and system performance. Networking: Configure and optimize TCP/IP networks, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLAN segmentation, and high-throughput performance tuning. Cloud & IaC: Build and manage AWS architectures (EC2, VPC, Direct Connect (DX), S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS); implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation; optimize cloud costs. DevOps & CI/CD: Design CI/CD pipelines using Argo CD, Jenkins, and GitLab; manage containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes. Monitoring & Observability: Implement monitoring and alerting with Prometheus and Grafana; manage logging and auditing using ELK stack. Security & Compliance: Lead incident response, intrusion detection, PKI and SSL/TLS management; ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR. Media Devices & Integration: Install and configure professional media devices (cameras, encoders, decoders) and manage serial interfaces (RS-232/RS-422/RS-485). Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts in Bash and Python; manage configuration with Ansible; perform capacity planning and benchmarking. Required Skills & Experience Strong expertise in VMware/Hyper-V/KVM, Linux administration, and AWS cloud architecture. Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Argo CD, Jenkins, GitLab) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Advanced knowledge of networking protocols, monitoring tools, and security frameworks. Excellent scripting skills in Bash and Python. Qualifications: Education: B.E./B.Tech or an equivalent degree. Experience: 8–12 years in software engineering with a strong background in designing, developing, and operating robust, scalable data centre infrastructures.
