ABOUT THE ROLE
As a part of an international software development agile team. You will be responsible for ensuring that our products, applications and systems work correctly. You will focus on finding, reporting bugs and glitches, preparing concepts of improvements that will make usability better for the end user or application.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor trends in video streaming and UI development and advocate technology standards and best-practices.
- Write highly optimized and performant code using appropriate design patterns and data structures.
- Take part in architectural discussions and drive changes to suite business goals.
- Part of initiatives to re-architect sub-systems as deemed necessary to support business growth.
- Analyzing test results and reporting to the development team
- Work closely with Leads and Product teams
- Help with design and code reviews in team.
- Ensure that the website is optimized for various devices and various platforms.
KEY SKILLS
- Graduate or Postgraduate in computer science with 4 -8 years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing live video streaming related technologies such as HLS Streaming, Media Source or similar technology stack.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, object model, DOM manipulation and event handlers, data structures and algorithms
- Strong hands-on experience in Node Js, Typescript/JavaScript.
- Average to good understanding in any framework like Angular JS/React JS/Vue JS
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, HTML/CSS, code versioning tools like GIT, SVN, etc., CI/CD tools, and DevOps
- Experience on AWS or similar cloud services is preferred.
- Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
- Experience in canvas will be an added advantage.
REQUIREMENTS
- Good to have experience in Video Streaming Technologies like ffmpeg, mp4box, etc API, Client-server interaction and UI technologies.
- Knowledge about mp4 and fragmented mp4 protocols will be a very good value add.
- Hands-on experience with different protocols, security and network testing.
- Continued education and research into Video streaming and current design strategy & technology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Should be individual contributor who can take end-end to responsibilities of the delivery.
- Professional written and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize code for the best possible outcome.
- Self-driven, responsible, and keen eye to details
- Strong collaborator and has skills to participate/guide technical discussions
- Strong team player
- Having gaming domain platform experience would be an added advantage.
